Software Test Specialists

(2 Junior, 2 Intermediate/Senior)

The Software Test Specialist is responsible for the core activities of the test effort. These responsibilities would entail:

  • Review and write test cases from use cases
  • Follows test plans as written (Junior)
  • Reviews and follows test plans as written (Intermediate/Senior)
  • Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test and executing as designed
  • Designing, developing, and executing complex tests
  • Compile and configure complex data setups
  • Document testing outcomes and verifying test execution
  • Analyze and recover from execution errors
  • Report and document defects clearly and accurately
  • Estimate tasks and timelines for testing
  • Analyze test requirements, scope and effectiveness
  • Analyze business requirements and processes
  • Conduct various types of testing, including but not limited to system testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, etc.

The Software Test Specialist should have the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of software testing approaches and techniques
  • Ability to learn applications quickly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective spoken and written English communication skills

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 1+ years software testing experience (Junior)
  • 3+ years software testing experience (Intermediate/Senior)
  • Software Quality Assurance exposure
  • Knowledge of blood plasma establishment computer software is an asset
  • Knowledge of US FDA regulations is an asset
  • ISTQB certification is an asset
